Professional career

Mario received the bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technological University of Pereira (Colombia), and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of the North (Colombia). He has worked in secondary education, university education, and industries related to electrical energy. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Zaragoza (Spain), within the Advanced Information Systems Laboratory (IAAA) of the Aragon Institute of Engineering Research (I3A). Currently, he is pursuing a master’s degree in Applied Statistics at the University of Nariño (Colombia) and has started working as an interim lecturer at the University of Zaragoza. His research interests are Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science in general. His master’s and doctoral studies were supported by scholarships granted by MINCIENCIAS.
